We believe that one-to-one classes provide the most personalized and effective methodology at every level. Our courses are tailor-made to student’s individual needs and are based on our diverse collection of materials.

For those who prefer group study, we offer mini-groups of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 students of the same language level.

Normally, our students rotate through different teachers each week to provide a variety of experiences. If requested, however, it is possible to keep the same teacher during the duration of the course.

In addition to one-to-one classes, at an additional price, students and teachers may visit museums or other places of interest in order to enrich the learning experience.

The school’s emphasis is on conversation, although our classes also include: grammar, audio, writing and reading materials.

For students with special needs we offer classes that emphasize the following:

• Business Spanish
• Medical Spanish
• Spanish/Latin American literature
• Full immersion intensive Spanish

For an extra charge students may receive their lessons regularly at their host family’s house, hotel or office.

Our Spanish Program is divided into four levels, in which language learning is complemented by exposure to social and cultural aspects of Latin American life. The basic through intermediate levels can be achieved in approximately 80 hours of classes (in a one-month intensive program). In all levels reading, writing, speaking and comprehension skills are learned.

Beginners

For those who have had little to no background or exposure to the Spanish Language, we offer a dynamic learning methodology which is accessible to all ages. Skills develop are basic pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary necessary for everyday living.

Basic

For those who have been exposed to the Spanish language, but have no grammar background, and would like to strengthen their vocabulary, the second level is dedicated to improving comprehension as well as written and oral proficiency.

Intermediate

At this level, students are able to communicate with ease, and continue to develop their vocabulary through the use of reading materials. More advanced levels of grammar are learned, such as the conditional and subjunctive tenses. At this level, conversation with native Spanish speakers is stressed, to allow the student to become more comfortable with spontaneous expression and debates on specific issues.

Advanced

Students already quite familiar with the Spanish language and who would like to deepen their grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, writing, expression, literary and cultural knowledge will benefit from the variety of (literary, audio-visual, and cultural) materials and sources used in the Advanced level. In this level, students and teachers together determine the issues of interest to be studied, as well as the materials, methods and time-frame.

Homestay

The stay with a host family includes a private room, three meals per day and a weekly laundry service

USD 15 per day.

 

If the student would like to live more independently, the school offer furnished apartments in the best neighborhoods of Quito.
